Jim Daley
graduated from St. Anselm’s College and the Command
Institute at Babson College. He has served with
the Concord and Hooksett, NH Police Departments
as an undercover narcotics investigator, criminal
investigator and Administrator/Acting Chief. After
that, Jim became the state's first Hazardous Material
Coordinator within the Department of Safety and
then spent 10 years as the Director of the Division
of Enforcement of the New Hampshire Department of
Safety.
After retiring from the Department
of Safety, Jim served as a Senior Criminal Investigator
with the New Hampshire Department of Justice, Office
of the Attorney General. He was lead investigator
in many major criminal investigations, with a special
emphasis on public integrity. He also conducted
investigations relating to professional licensures
(doctors, lawyers, etc.), Medicaid fraud and elder
abuse in New Hampshire.
Jim has been an Adjunct
Professor at the New Hampshire Police Academy since
1983. He has also been a guest lecturer at numerous
colleges, schools, organizations, state government
and law enforcement agencies.
During his law enforcement
career, Jim has served as President of the New Hampshire
Police Association and the New Hampshire Criminal
Investigators Association, as well as chairing/serving
on many Boards and Associations, including the New
Hampshire Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect,
the New Hampshire Police Cadet Academy, and the
Auto Theft Committee of the International Association
of Chiefs of Police.
Jim is a life member
of the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police
and presently serves on its Legislative Committee.
