After being stranded by the volcanic ash cloud over the British Isles, Robert A. Stein returned from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he taught a course to the Regulation Quality Improvement Authority of Northern Ireland. Attorney Stein taught advocacy skills to lay advocates who represent mentall-challenged individuals in institutions of Norther Ireland.
Robert A. Stein returned from celebrating the 10th training for advanced solicitor advocates for the Law Society of northern Ireland in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Attorney Stein and a delegation of American law professors and judges have been training solicitor advocates in both Belfast and Dublin to allow the solicitors the certificate required to "cross the Bar" and to appear on behalf of litigants in the Crown Courts.

Robert A. Stein returned from Indianapolis, IN, from being a Team Leader at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's Mid-Central Regional Program.

Robert Stein recently returned from Chicago Kent Law School Intensive Intellectual Property Trial Advocacy Course, where he instructed professors and instructors in intellectual property in creative, innovative and recognized trial advocacy methods. Attorney Stein also conducted lecture demonstrations on direct and cross-examination for the seniors of the Chicago Kent Law School eligible to take the course.

Along with several London barristers, Robert Stein gave a series of lectures, demonstrations, and critiques to Linklaters Litigation and Arbitration Global Retreat held in Barcelona, Spain in late September. Linklaters is one of the world's largest law firms, and participants in the retreat came from a variety of civil law and common law countries for the advocacy training, which was sponsored by the College of Law, London, England.

The Institute for Professional Development of Queens University, Belfast, Northern Ireland, hosted its seventh Advanced Advocacy Course for Solicitor Advocates, and invited Attorney Robert Stein to serve as its seminar leader. Attorney Stein presented lecture/demonstrations on opening statements, closing arguments, and case analysis, and gave individual critiques of the solicitors' presentation skills.
Robert Stein has been honored by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy with the Honorable Prentice H. Marshall Faculty Award for Development of Innovative Teaching Methods. The award recognizes his long-standing commitment to NITA and his creative techniques.
Robert Stein recently returned from Las Vegas, NV where he gave a seminar on trial advocacy to associates at Marquis & Aurbach, one of Las Vegas' prestige law firms.

Bob Stein just returned form a teaching swing sponsored by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He gave a seminar at Marquis Aurbach in Las Vegas, on experts at a seminar for the Iowa Public Defenders system in Des Moines, Iowa, on deposition skills for Perkins Coie, a Seattle-based firm, and served as a team leader for the New York Regional Program in New York City.
Robert Stein elected Vice-president of the International Society of Barristers Foundation at the Foundation's meeting in Costa Rica. The International Society of Barristers Foundation provides grants to worthwhile legal programs such as Court-Appointed Special Advocates, The Innocence Project, The Alabama Equal Justice Initiative, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Robert Stein recently returned from New York City where he gave a seminar on trial advocacy to senior associates at Sullivan & Cromwell, one of New York's prestige law firms. Through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Attorney Stein routinely lectures, coaches, and teaches trial advocacy at law firms across the United States, as well as teaches similar courses to public defenders and legal aide agencies here and abroad.
